The HR Generalist is responsible for creating and providing an exceptional employment experience while fostering a collaborative and supportive relationship with managers throughout the organization.

The HR Generalist is responsible for creating and providing an exceptional employment experience while fostering a collaborative and supportive relationship with managers throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and administer employee policies and identify areas of improvement
• Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
• Support executive team in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
• Offer proactive full-cycle recruiting services to the organization including resume screening, interviewing, reference checks, advertisements, employment offers, and applicant tracking software administration
• Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates
• Prepare various employee correspondence such as termination and severance letters, benefits materials, company memos, etc.
• Responsible for payroll processing and maintenance to include entering new hires, terminations, benefit deductions, garnishments, levies, bonus payments, status changes, etc.
• Perform job analysis to develop and maintain job descriptions and properly classify employees by FLSA status
• Benefits administration including new hire orientation, processing of qualifying events, open enrollment activities, and maintenance of 401(k) Profit Sharing Plans
• Act as a liaison between the employees and management

Additional Responsibilities:

• This position assists with vendor and contractor qualification by obtaining proper documents, negotiating and escalating various red-line provisions, and maintaining applicable databases
• May assist with basic accounting department needs approximately 10-15 hours per week
• Other duties may be assigned as needed or may be required throughout the organization which may be outside the typical realm of the Human Resources and Accounting functions


Qualifications / Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification preferred, but not required
• Three to five years experience in Human Resources in roles of progressing responsibility
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a prior payroll processing software (Paycom is preferred) is required
• QuickBooks experience is helpful, but not required
