This accounting clerk supports accounting operations by filing documents, reconciling statements, running software programs, and other proprietary duties. This accounting role will be part several aspects of the full accounting life cycle including processing checks, QuickBooks entries and using customer-based accounting software.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents
• Prepare, process and reconciles customer statements
• Maintains accounting databases by entering data into the computer; processing backups
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties
• Assist in other duties proprietary to accounting department
• Displays flexibility and ability to realign job duties with changing priorities
• Works well with others to complete multiple department deadlines
• Ability to learn new tasks proficiently and quickly

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Solid computer skills such as typing and navigation through various computer programs including MS Outlook, Excel
• Skilled using Quickbooks is preferred, but not required
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate and patient customer service skills
• High attention to detail
• Sitting at desk – 90% daily
• Standing or walking – 10% daily (may require more infrequently)
• Ability to learn and think quickly
• Energetic, outgoing, and positive attitude
• Good organization skills
• Reliable and dependable
• Ability to prioritize and mange time
Education and Experience:

• Associates’ degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
• Prior experience in an accounting department (highly preferred but not required)
